Cruising is a very good idea for those to want quite and sightseeing through Egyptian temples between Aswan and Luxor. The cruise “La terrase” is OK, the room is fine and very clean however it’s a little bit noisy at night due to engineers. The food is OK. The desk is nice with shadow areas and also with deck chairs for sunbathing, however the swimming Pool is small . Our guide, Bee, is a very knowledge guy and very helpful within the communication to Egyptian people. Cruising is very recommendable, the cruise “la Terrace” Can be improved and the guide Bee very recommendable .
The cruise was what we were looking forward to during our trip to Egypt, after hectic Cairo, and it didn’t disappoint. The boat (Marquise du Nil) was clean and comfortable, and its staff was friendly (they even organized a surprise birthday celebration for me after checking my passport, without us asking anything). We also had a great time visiting ancient Egyptian monuments with our guide Mina and a small group of 8 people in total. We learned a lot about the Egyptian mythology and history thanks to Mina’s good and fun storytelling. Mina was also EXTREMELY accommodating as he did his best to arrange Various off program requests. We also appreciated the fact that he shielded us from unsolicited vendors. We added an excursion to Abu Simbel with another group (also with us on the same boat), led by Zakaria who was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Thanks to him as well for making this trip a good one.
