FAQs

Is a 9-day itinerary enough to cover Cairo, Luxor, and Hurghada?

Yes, it is a very popular duration. The itinerary typically dedicates 2-3 nights in Cairo (for the Pyramids and Museum), 2-3 nights in Luxor (for the temples and tombs), and 2-3 nights in Hurghada (for the beach and Red Sea activities), often using domestic flights or a train/bus for transfers to save time.

What is the best way to travel between these cities?

For a 9-day trip, domestic flights (e.g., Cairo to Luxor, Hurghada to Cairo) are the most time-efficient option. Some packages may use an overnight sleeper train between Cairo and Luxor/Aswan, or a private air-conditioned vehicle for the longer transfer between Luxor and Hurghada.

What is typically included in the package price?
  • Accommodation (hotels in Cairo, Luxor, and Hurghada).

  • Domestic transport (flights, trains, or transfers).

  • Guided tours in Cairo and Luxor (Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, Karnak, Valley of the Kings, etc.).

  • Expert Egyptologist guide services.

  • Daily breakfast, and sometimes other meals (especially in Hurghada resorts and on the overnight train, if applicable).

  • All transfers (airport/hotel/site).

Do I need a visa for Egypt?

Most nationalities require a visa to enter Egypt. Citizens of many countries are eligible to purchase a Visa on Arrival at the airport (currently around $25 USD for a single-entry 30-day visa, subject to change) or apply for an e-Visa online before traveling. Always check the latest requirements for your specific nationality.

Is Egypt safe for tourists?

Yes, millions of tourists visit Egypt safely every year. Tourist sites are well-secured. As in any major city, it's wise to be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas, and take standard safety precautions.
